One Year Later
Today marks the one year anniversary of moving back to the U.S. In some ways, it feels like just yesterday that we were living in London and in others it seems like a lifetime ago. So much has changed since we moved - a new job for David, a new house for our family, and, most importantly, a new baby. On August 19, 2014, we welcomed Clara Lorraine Buckley into our lives growing our family of three into a family of four. I think about all of our travels during our time in Europe and can't imagine how we would have done it with two kids instead of one. Actually, I am pretty amazed that we managed to do what we did with one kid. It is so much fun to look through all the photos of our travels and remember our two years living in Europe. Even though Colin probably won't remember any of our time there, he will be able to look at all of the pictures of him in so many wonderful places. We always laugh that Colin will have all these amazing childhood photos and poor Clara will probably have childhood photos in places like the Wisconsin Dells and Door County. Although there are certainly things I miss about life in London and I definitely miss all the exciting vacations, I am so happy to be back in the U.S. It has been wonderful be closer to family and have the kids get to really know their grandparents and other family members. It feels great to finally feel settled and have a place that we can really call home. I am officially saying "good-bye" to this blog with this post. But, like our time in London, it is great to have all the memories.
